RESEARCH INTERESTS

I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in Biology focused in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. For my undergraduate research, I studied the impact of global change on arctic plant ecology in the Alaskan Tundra. I also investigated plant-pollinator relationships in the high tundra. Before coming to Penn State to work with Dr. Christina Grozinger, I worked as a technician with the Cornell Cooperative Extension's Vegetable Program.

My research is focused on the impact of climate change, specifically temperature change, on plant-pollinator interactions. I am currently investigating the impacts of extreme heat on floral traits, and how this will affect pollinator communities and foraging behavior. I am interested in applying my experience in global change and agricultural research to answer conservation centered questions.
